i’VE HAD FORTY VERY REWARDING YEARS, WORKED WITH SOME HUGELY TALENTED PEOPLE BOTH PRIVATELY AND IN HIGHER EDUCATION, AND HAVE FORGED A HUGE NUMBER OF LASTING FRIENDSHIPS. HOWEVER, WITH A BUSY PLAYING SCHEDULE, A FLEDGLING RECORD LABEL, AND ALL SORTS STILL TO ACHIEVE IN MY OWN PLAYING I THINK THE TIME HAS COME tTO SCALE BACK. I WILL STILL MAKE OCCASIONAL APPEARANCES AT DRUM CAMPS, MASTERCLASSES, AND DRUM INDUSTRY EVENTS.

I firmly believe that every student is an individual, that we all learn and assimilate new material at our own pace, and for that reason I do not insist on a commitment to a lesson every week, fortnight or month as other tutors sometimes do. I believe that you the student are the best judge of how frequently you need a lesson, and if it’s once every two years that’s fine with me. Undoubtedly though optimum progress will come from a regular appointment and you may wish to pre-pay for up to a year’s worth of lessons, for which discount is available. Details upon request.
Lessons may be bought in advance and have no 'use before' date. Also you will receive bespoke written feedback summarising the lesson content together with practice recommendations, building your own tailor made drum method over time.
