Recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studio 2, an hour of great, high energy big band music from 2000. This release came on the back of the Pete Cater Big Band being winners in the British Jazz Awards, 2000, which resulted in the band being signed by Vocalion records.

This album features Pete’s tour de force of this era, ‘King Size Skins’ composed by Martin Williams, and what you hear is an entire take, just as it happened in that legendary studio.

Pete recalls, “I nearly fell off the drum stool at the end of it, but it came out well and is the reason I don’t feel under pressure to record any more drum solos”.
